Held over 2 consecutive Wednesday eveningsPost Natal Distress affects the whole family. For most women the PND will pass. Fathers may be confused and concerned about what is happening to their partner. Relationships may experience stress and be severely tested at this time. PND Wellington took part in some New Zealand research with fathers which showed that information and sharing experiences can enable family members to understand the distress of PND as it affects them, and feel empowered to support their partner through their anxiety and distress and learn new ways of coping and communicating their thoughts and hopes. A gold coin donation is all it costs. Some comments from recent Fathers' Groups "Hearing other's problems & solutions helpful"
"Open & comfortable"
"Being able to discuss some of my fears & frustrations openly and not feel stupid"
"Sharing experiences and hearing that others are feeling the same too"
"Hearing that my wife is at the better end and there is light at the end of the tunnel"
"Brownie points from the missus for supporting her!"
"Meeting others going through the same thing"
"You don't have to be cajoled guys - be brave and just come along"
