Volunteering
Be a Volunteer at PND Wellington
PND Wellington has always relied on the commitment and hard work of many volunteers, indeed it's very beginnings sprung from the visions of a small group of women and their families. It could not survive without the generous and knowledgeable support of our Volunteers. PND Wellington continues to value and rely on the many volunteers who help to provide the valuable services to the community to achieve its mission.
"This isn't what I was expecting!"
If you have experienced post/ante natal distress you will know what it feels like to talk to mums who are happy and contented - it's really hard. There is still a stigma about not coping and feeling anxious about motherhood.
Would you like to be a Telephone Supporter?
We need lots of volunteers
We get at least 7 - 10 new referrals a month
A couple of hours a month could mean so much to a mum who is experiencing that overwhelmed feeling and doesn't know who to talk to
Volunteering encourages personal development, broadening of experience and life enrichment
